DINO SPRING TUNE-UP (Results) This event is designed to be a warm-up for race season, or a low-pressure chance for new riders to decide if they are ready to race. It's a short race with no frills (no awards or series points). The 3-mile course contains a mix of wide, easy trail and narrow singletrack. There are some rather technical sections and a few hills. Intro riders will complete 1 lap; Cat3, Clydesdale, & Juniors 2; Cat 2 3 laps, and Cat1/Pro 4 laps. There is no pre-registration for this race - it's subject to cancellation due to wet weather and will not be rescheduled. Call the DINO Hotline at (317-336-7553) prior to your trip to the race site! Entry fee is $15 at the race for Intro, Junior, Clydesdale and Cat3, and $20 for Cat2 and Cat1/Pro. If you are not a member of USA Cycling, add $5. If you purchase a season pass for the 2010 Kenda DINO Mountain Bike Series, your entry in the DINO Spring Tune-up is FREE! Pre-riding is available after 11AM to NOON Saturday, or anytime Friday evening. The Vasque DINO Trail Run - Avon takes place from 9 to 11 am on the trail system. Intro Racing Clinic presented by the Moore / Gray Goat Sports race team Friday April 9, at 6pm – a free opportunity to learn what to expect when you race, including tips and skills practice time on the trail. Come prepared to ride and ask questions! Cornerstone Chiropractic of Avon will have a booth at the race, offering complimentary spinal screenings. Additionally, you can schedule an initial visit in-clinic for a $20 a donation to the DINO! This initial visit includes a consultation, examination, and a written report of findings -- normally over $300. Directions: Avon is just west of Indianapolis, between Brownsburg and Plainfield.
