Fort Wayne, IN – Franke Park

It's been a few years since DINO last visited Fort Wayne. With a location inside Indiana's second largest city and adjacent to the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo, there is plenty for everyone to do and see while in town for the race.

Franke Park offers a fun course about 6 miles in length. Hills are short but steep in a few places with some flowing creekside trails. Trail map.

Start Times

Camping: Not available onsite. Consider Johnny Appleseed Park.

New directions: From I-69, north of Ft. Wayne, go east/southeast on Goshen
Rd./Ave. and continue southeast to Sherman Blvd. Turn left (north) onto Sherman Blvd. (following signs for Ft. Wayne Children's Zoo), then turn left onto Park Dr. at J.B. Franke Park sign (before zoo) and follow the road to the Nature Center. Or park at the BMX track for the trails behind it.
