"DINO's AMBC Challenge" - American Mountain Bike Challenge

The weekend offers a variety of activities and opportunities that include trail running, mountain biking, rock climbing, canoeing, camping, fishing, and more - this is the place to be for Indiana outdoor enthusiasts! It's the 6th annual DINO Challenge Festival at Muscatatuck County Park. >> TRAIL MAP <<

Mountain Bike racing starts with the Freerider Challenge on Saturday, and the AMBC Short-Track Saturday afternoon. Both are a chance to earn Bonus Points toward the DINO Mountain Bike Series. The weekend's big event is Sunday's DINO Challenge AMBC cross-country race. The cross-country course is hilly and scenic. Lap length is about 5 miles.

Freerider Challenge - a time-trial race similar to a downhill; contains drops and obstacles, some pedaling required! Two runs per person (best time wins); practice runs open at 1:00. >> Elevation Map <<

Short-Track MTB race - 30 minutes plus one lap, on a loop of under 1 mile, contains mostly mowed lanes and fire road. Special event entry fee: $20 each ($25 for non-NORBA members) or $30 for both events ($35 for non-NORBA)

Directions: North Vernon is halfway between Madison and Columbus IN. From the center of North Vernon (SR 7 and US 50), go south on SR 7 one mile, watch for the park entrance on the right just before crossing the river. View Map
