VASQUE DINO TRAIL RUN SERIES

Anderson, IN – Mounds State Park

Difficulty rating: Hills: 3 / Surface: 2 (1=easy, 5=difficult)

Mounds has been a running destination for east central Indiana runners for years. In 2007, DINO first visited the park with the Vasque DINO Trail Run Series. It has become a popular part of the series, complimenting other annual events held within the park.

The DINO course finds the most challenging terrain available. Nearly all trail, the route seems to hit every possible hill, boardwalk, and stairway available.

The 5k utilizes the northern trails of the park, starting just inside the park gatehouse. Aid stations will be at approximately mile 1 and 2.5.

15k runners will continue southward from the 5k finish and pass ancient Indian burial grounds including the Great Mound and Fiddleback Mound, then pass the start line en route to a second lap of the course. [Course Map.]

Subject to minor changes.
All races will be Eastern time. Indiana does observe daylight savings time.

• 7:30AM ~ Registration Opens
• 8:30AM ~ Registration Closes
• 9:00AM ~ 15K Start
• 9:10AM ~ 5K Starts
• 11:00AM ~ Award Ceremony

Directions: Take SR 232 east from Anderson, or SR 32 West from I-69 to Mounds Road . The race registration/start/finish is at the Pavilion, just inside the park entrance.
Gate fee of $5 per vehicle ($7 out-of-state) will be required as you enter, or you can purchase an annual entrance pass and enjoy any State Park all year long for $36.
