Qdoba DINO Trail Run Series

DINO is MOVING the August 28 Qdoba DINO Trail Run from Town Run trail to
SOUTHWESTWAY PARK.
There are several reasons for the move.
Construction under the I-465 bridge has rendered the southern part of Town
Run Trail Park inaccessible.
As part of the construction, a temporary roadway was built across White
River. This roadway causes Town Run to flood much more frequently than ever
before. Town Run has been closed to use nearly as much at it has been open
in the past months.
DINO pairs many events, with a trail run Saturday and mountain bike racing
on Sunday. Holding a mountain bike event at Town Run would be extremely
dificult under the current situations. Thus we have chosen to move both
events for August 28-29.
The Hoosier Mountain Bike Association has built some excellent new trails in
Southwestway Park that we are looking forward to showing you! (All mountain
bike trails in Indiana are open for trail running.) Southwestway also offers
us better facilities such as ample parking, running water, and more shade.
Comparison of the two courses:
-The August race will have a two-lap 15k (most likely a 5k lap then a 10k
lap). The October race which will use the "historic" route, having a three
lap 15k.
-The August race will feature a generally less steep course than the October
race.
-The August course is not finalized, watch for final course map within two
weeks of the August race.
SCHEDULE FOR ALL DINO TRAIL RUNS:
Subject to minor changes.
All races will be Eastern time. Indiana does observe daylight savings time.
- 7:30AM ~ Registration Opens
- 8:30AM ~ Registration Closes
- 9:00AM ~ 15K Start
- 9:10AM ~ 5K Starts
- 11:00AM ~ Award Ceremony
Directions: Southwestway Park is on Indianapolis Southwest side, on Mann
Road. The Mann Road exit can only be accessed from Eastbound on I-465. View Map
From the East: Exit I-465 at Mann Road and turn left. Travel 2.7 miles South
on Mann Road. Southwestway Park is on the East (left) side. Overflow parking
is on the West side of Mann Road.
From the West: Exit I-465 at Kentucky Avenue. Turn SW (left) and follow
Kentucky Avenue for 0.6 miles. Turn South (left) at High School Road for 0.2
miles. Turn East (left) on Thompson Road. Follow Thompson for 1.4 miles,
which will put you at the I-465 / Mann Road interchange. Turn South (right).
Travel 2.7 miles South on Mann Road. Southwestway Park is on the East (left)
side. Overflow parking is on the West side of Mann Road.
