Join us for the 2nd annual Rangeline Rampage. Last year, the unique, technical nature of Rangeline Nature Preserve created an interesting test of skill and a chance for technically skilled riders to shine.

The race is a time trial (race against the clock). The course is tight and challenging, with features not suitable for head to head racing.

Each rider in Cat1 or 2, and Cat3 Men, and Clydesdale will complete one lap of the 6 mile, Expert (black diamond) route. Cat3 Juniors including 10 & under, Intro, and Cat3Women will ride the 3 mile, Intermediate (blue square) route. Parents are encouraged to ride along with 10& under riders.

Course maps:

Start order: Riders will line up in the same general order as DINO series races. See below for approximate start times. Starting order will be based on current overall series standing. Riders will one at a time. Unranked riders start after ranked riders.

30 seconds will separate each starting rider. An additional minute will be given between race categories.

APPROXIMATE start times and course:

  • Cat1 Men 10:00 black
  • Cat2 Men 10:10 black
  • Cat1&2 Wm 10:30 black
  • Cat3 Men 10:35 black
  • Junior 10:55 blue
  • Clydesdale 11:00 black
  • Cat3 Women 11:05 blue
  • Intro 11:10 green
  • 10&under 11:15 green

Rain date is Sunday July 8. In the event of rain on July 10 the race will continue. Call the DINO Hotline at (317-336-7553) prior to your trip to the race site!

Entry fee is $15 pre-registered or $20 at the race, for all categories. A
majority of the profits will go directly to the trail for future
improvements and maintenance!

If you are not a member of USA Cycling, add $5 to the entry fee for one-day
permit/insurance. If you do not have a DINO number plate, a refundable $5
deposit will also be taken at registration.

Pre-riding is available any time. The course will get additional markings
for the race on Friday evening, and re-checked on race morning. On race day,
begin practice lap no later than 9:30am.

On-site registration and check-in begins at 8 am.

Directions:From Indianapolis, take I-69 to Anderson (Scatterfield Rd / SR
9). North on Scatterfield to SR 232 (Mounds Road). Turn Right. One mile
later, turn left on Rangeline. Go north ½ mile, Rangeline is on the Left
(west).

From the North or East, exit I-69 at Chesterfield (SR 32). Take SR 32 (Main
Street) West into Anderson. Turn left on Rangeline. Go south 1 mile to
Rangeline Nature Preserve.
