360 Minutes @ Muscatatuck - DINO Trail Run Relay
Some preliminary details:
CATEGORIES
Solo, 2-Person, and 4-Person (3 person teams can register as a 4-person team)
DIVISIONS
Solo Male, Solo Female, Solo Masters Male, Solo Masters Female
Teams: Co-ed, Male, Female, Masters (all members over 40)
Price: To be determined
Included: race, t-shirt, post-race meal, primitive camping, awards
The course is a loop just under 5 miles long. It is broken into three segments.
Race segments (approximate distances):
(A) 1.6 miles, two major (150' vertical) climbs, rocky terrain trail
(B) 1.2 miles, rolling, easy trail
(C) 2.0 miles, one major and several smaller climbs, moderate trail
Your team sets its own strategy!
Exchanges can be made at any exchange point, with any order of runners. Relay runners may run more than one segment at a time before exchanging. The three exchange points are within 200 meters of each other.
Exchange will be made with a passing of a numbered elastic wristband (or a similar object).
Race will be cut off at 6 hours. Any segment completed after the 6-hour mark does not count. Results will be based on the number of segments completed within the 6-hours. If two teams complete the same number of segments, the faster time will determine placing.
Water, Gatorade, and some energy food will be available at self-service aid stations located at each of the exchange points. A cooling mist tent will be available to help beat the heat.

The 2007 Vasque DINO Trail Run Series will recognize "Spring Sub-Series" and "Fall Sub-Series" standings, in addition to the 2007 Champions.
