Last year, 300 trail runners converged on Eagle Creek Park in mid-March. Memorable conditions on race day were highlighted by sunny 70-degree temperatures, but vast patches of ice and snow remained on the trail.

Join race 1 of the 2004 DINO Trail Run Series on March 13 at Eagle Creek Park. As one of the easier courses in the series, Eagle Creek provides a great introduction to trail running. Each participant can choose either 5k (3.1 miles) or 15k (9.3 miles), all on the scenic unpaved trails of Indy's Eagle Creek Park.

This year's DINO Trail Run Series features many new goodies for participants. Athletic Annex will present $300 worth of gift certificates randomly at each race, in addition to merchandise give-aways. Rudy Project, Clif Bar, and Pearl Izumi have also provided door prizes and give-aways that every participant has a chance to win. Look for additional give-aways from the DINO Trail Run Series' official energy drink supplier, C&K Transitions. Sign up for a free Sportzbizz massage therapy at the race. Pick up a DINO running singlet or the new series t-shirt - this year the series t-shirt is made from a performance fabric suitable to wear during your training runs (Dri-Release brand).

Schedule: All 2004 DINO Trail Run Series events start on Saturdays at 9 am (*Indiana Time*). The 15k starts first, with the 5k 10 minutes later. Registration opens at 7 am.

Directions: From I-465 on Indy's Northwest side, exit at 56th Street (Northbound only!) OR from I-65, exit at Lafayette Road and travel North to 56th Street. Follow 56th Street West to the park. The race begins & finishes at the Beach area.

Free parking is available just outside the south park entrance at 56th Street and Reed Road. This parking area is about ½ mile from the race site.
