For those not able to enter DINO Trail Races (or those not yet enlightened), April 16 offers a great chance to view the action. A 5 kilometer loop will be repeated 3 times by 15k runners. Each lap offers multiple viewing of the participants as they wander the woods. The single-loop 5k race is suitable for walkers and runners alike.

This course offers a split personality - about half of the course is gentle, wide, smooth pathways. The rest is... we'll just say, more challenging!

It all starts at 9 am in Avon (just west of Indy), at Washington Township Community Park. This is race #2 in the 7 race series, but is open to anyone (enter just one race, or as many as you can).

After the race, DINO will hand out dozens of prizes from sponsors including The Extreme Outfitters, FlexFitt, and Trail Runner Magazine. Stick around a bit longer and watch (or join) the DINO Spring Tune-up mountain bike race on the same course.

Directions: Avon is just west of Indianapolis, between Brownsburg and Plainfield. Go west on US36, 1.3 miles past SR 267. Turn left on County Road 575 E. Parking is to the right; the park is to the left.
