Nearly perfect trail conditions, but less than ideal weather, greeted the runners as they tackled the 5k loop once or three times. Emerging as early leaders in the series standings, Mike Heffron and Mark Hiskes repeated on their 15k 1st and 2nd place finishes to sit 1st and 2nd in the standings. Cindy Moll remained undefeated on top of the 5k women's standings. Cassie Hunt also defended the women's 15k title, while Kristy Lippencott moved up to second. Cory Leas and Mike Manning moved into the 1st and 2nd spots in 5k men's series positions with their finishes at Avon. The course has many swooping turns and short up and downs as it cris-crosses a levee. After the race, stick around to watch the DINO Mountain Bike Series in full action.
