Surfing White River: Town Run Trail

Saturday's 5k and 15k course at Town Run Trail Park will send you "surfing" up and over the White River Levee, multiple times, for a challenging, fun run in Indianapolis. All ages and ability levels of runners and walkers are welcome.

The Extreme Outfitters provides great door prizes that will be presented randomly at approximately 11:30. Race awards to top three overall and in each age group are also presented at this time.

Directions: From I-465 on Indy's Northeast side, exit at Allisonville Road. Travel north 1.3 miles to 96th Street. Turn West (left) and drive ½ mile (across the bridge). Town Run Trail Park is on the left immediately after crossing the White River bridge.

You can also head West on 96th Street from I-69. Cross Allisonville then the White River Bridge.

Early registration closes Wednesday. To save a little cash, register now at: www.active.com

On-site registration and check-in opens at 7 am (come early to park nearby; otherwise you'll have a little walk or warm-up run to reach the race site). The race starts at 9 am (15k). 9:10 am is the 5k start.

Introducing Kids to Adventure Sports

Know someone ages 8 to 16 who needs a great outdoors adventure? The DINO Adventure Day Camp is coming June 18, 2005.

This camp is open to anyone age 8-16 who would like to get a hands-on experience with mountain biking, rock climbing & rope challenges, canoe / kayak, and/or orienteering & navigation.

Entry is limited to the first 50 to register. More details will be coming soon; but for the basics check DINO's web site!
