July 1 is the next DINO Trail Run Series - Race #4 - at North Vernon's Muscatatuck County Park. This is one of the most unique courses in the series, plus a great excuse to spend a weekend outdoors with DINO trail running and mountain biking events, and it's a great place to pursue other activities such as rock climbing and canoeing.

Directions: North Vernon is southeast of Columbus IN. From the center of North Vernon (SR 7 and US 50), go south on SR 7 one mile, watch for the park entrance on the right.

Are you chasing series points? Points are generally a bit easier to obtain at this race, as attendance is slightly lower than the Indianapolis venues.

There are still plenty of openings for the 2006 DINO Adventure Day Camp for Kids age 8-16, TOMORROW, Saturday June 24. If you would like to bring your child, you can sign them up on-site starting at 8 am.

Areas of instruction and fun include: Mountain biking, canoeing, navigation / orienteering, rock climbing (wall) and zip line, and outdoor skills & safety.

A solid attendance in Bloomington welcomed DINO's first visit to Wapehani Park's trails in four years. Slightly slippery conditions made some of the climbs even more challenging.

A strong contingent from Northwest Indiana were in town and visited the DINO race, taking several of the top finishing spots. However, the race results did nothing to change the overall points leaders.
