DINO Trail Running Newsletter 08-12-02 Contents: GOODMAN & MOLL WIN AGAIN, SINNETT'S FATE REVERSED POINT SERIES NOTES 2002 DINO TRAIL RUN SERIES SCHEDULE OTHER UPCOMING EVENTS ##### GOODMAN & MOLL WIN AGAIN, SINNETT'S FATE REVERSED Fort Wayne's Franke Park was the host for race 6 in the 2002 DINO Trail Run Series. Russ Goodman (15k) and Cindy Moll (5k) claimed another win in their progress toward the Series Championship. Christopher Sinnett's result was just the opposite of race 5 in Bloomington, as Matthew Morrow of Kokomo sprinted past him - a surprise pass in the finish chute. Sinnett had dropped Robb Awe in the Bloomington event for an equally exciting finish. Marlin Howe took his highest finish yet (third), securing his top spot in the 5k series standings. 12-year-old Ft. Wayne resident Jenna Mahon and Master's point leader Barb Stayton rounded out the top three for 5k women. Judy White ran to the 15k Women's win, with Kristin Abels in second. Valparaiso's Jerry Proctor took a second place 15k finish, and Ron Hart of Germantown, Ohio rounded out the top three. The lowest two scores are dropped at the end of the season. Those runners having a full set of 6 results now will drop their low scores starting at the next race (Sept. 28). To qualify, each runner must enter four events minimum. Runners currently having two race scores now have a make-or-break opportunity to win series awards... Judging from the size of the eligible series standings, many of the eligible runners will have a great shot at winning one of the twenty-four 2002 DINO Trail Run Series "Series Champion" singlet made by Pyro Apparel!
