DINO Trail Running Newsletter 10-15-02 Contents: SCOTTSBURG TRAIL RUN ENDS SEASON OF GREAT RACING 2002 DINO TRAIL RUN SERIES RESULTS LOST AND FOUND OTHER UPCOMING EVENTS ##### SCOTTSBURG TRAIL RUN ENDS SEASON OF GREAT RACING The final DINO Trail Run Series event of 2002 offered both great terrain and great competition. The property named Heavenly Acres, near Scottsburg IN, provided a picturesque setting with lakes and ravines. Multiple viewing opportunities and several close contests made the race good for spectators. 15k series leader Russ Goodman jockeyed for position with Hugh Davis of Tell City IN. Through the property's relentless hills and turns, it wasn't until the final miles that Davis pulled away for the 15k win in 1:02:09. Rounding out the top three was Ron Hart of Germantown, OH. Amanda Holzhausen, worked her way through the women's field to win the 15k in 1:19:48. Tina Fearnow and Sally Sheehan took the next two places. In the 5k, Marlin Howe of Niles MI had his first DINO victory, running 20:35 to top James Harris and Eric Schildbach on the podium spots. Cindy Moll added yet another win to make it seven wins out of the seven DINO Trail Runs she's entered this year. Her time of 23:17 put her two minutes up on 11 year old Tiffany Davis, the daughter of 15k winner Hugh Davis. Barb Stayton claimed third place.
