2006 looks to be a good year for AR in Indiana! Producers of the state's 6 leading, annual AR events are working on details for a state championship point series.

The series will add the best two "long" race scores + the best two "short" race scores. "Long" races are the first three; 24 HOTM, Planet Adventure, and MISSION.
Series rules are still being developed, but plan your racing with a "core" team of two people, with third/fourth teammates able to swap in and out. Choose one of three divisions: Co-ed, Male, or Female.

Looking for a long, enjoyable run in the woods? Check out the Tecumseh Trail Marathon, a spectacular 26.2 mile point-to-point race through Morgan-Monroe and Yellowwood State Forests near Bloomington Indiana. There is a field limit of 500 runners, so don't delay if you wish to join the fun.

Unexpected Challenges

An exceptionally challenging 24 hours in the five prominent disciplines of Adventure Racing. This event has grown over the past four years creating such demand each year that we have had to hold a waiting list to fill cancellation spots. So this year register early to secure one of the 40 Team slots, with 10 of those available to 2-person teams!!!

For the newcomer wanting to experience longer adventure races this is an ideal place to start and test the waters. The format at such an offordable cost is designed specifically to allow each team to go as hard as they want as long as they can, or tackle things in more comfortable sections. A hot fire with hot soup and beverages are always at the ready in the main transition area headquarters; be careful it does not lure you into staying.

Any who have participated in previous 24 HOTM events or DINO's Mission 18 hour will tell you with enthusiasm what our ropes stations are like; just ask them. Last year we had a rappel, ascent, and Tyrolean Travers across a river. This year as usual the exact challenges will be a surprise, but the Zip line would be a good bet to expect.

This year 24 HOTM will be the first of the Indiana State Championship points events!!! In colaberation with Planet Adventure Racing and DINO we are tieing our events together into a state point series for 2006. So this year you can use this as the early 2006 season training event or, those of you who want an inexpensive race, can get a jump on the series points!!
