A major rainstorm, wind, and ice threw a curveball at the 4th annual Tecumseh Trail Marathon. Two re-routes were needed to bypass dangerously flooded creeks. One detour added three miles of pavement, eliminating the infamous Indian Hill. But the re-routes didn't offset the mud, which caused slower winning times than any year so far.

Flooding also impacted the roads into the race site, making access difficult on friday night for check-in. Some nearby states faced snow and ice which contributed to several no-shows to the sold-out race. Almost 430 finished the marathon, and another 50 participated in the Fun Run (also re-routed to become an out-and-back race).

The marathon's top three were Brian Henz (Oswego, IL) at 3:16:05, Stephen Wolcott (Indianapolis), and Howard Harrell (Greenwood IN). Women's winners: Jacqueline Tarrant (Indianapolis, 03:39:14), Suzanne Ryan (Wheaton IL), and Katie Stuckey (Indianapolis).

The 2007 Vasque DINO Trail Run Series will recognize "Spring Sub-Series" and "Fall Sub-Series" standings, in addition to the 2007 Champions.
