WHAT IS THE DINO ADVENTURE TRIATHLON? DINO is proud to present Indiana’s first off-road triathlon! The DINO Adventure Triathlon includes a full-distance XTERRA Point Series triathlon, plus a half-distance triathlon for those wanting to taste the adventure of off-road triathlon, and a canoe / kayak division to challenge the non-swimmer or aspiring adventure racer.
The DINO Adventure Triathlon courses will be well-marked (no orienteering) but rugged.
The course begins with a swim or paddle in the beautifully clear rock quarry lake of France Park. Then, transition to your mountain bike for a fast and fun mountain bike course. Finally, slip on your running shoes for a rugged trail run including spectacular cliff-top views the lake you left behind!
DISTANCES:
Full distance: 1 mi swim / 20 mi mtn bike / 6 mi trail run
Canoe / Kayak: 10 mi MTB / 1 mi canoe or kayak / 10 mi MTB / 6 mi trail run
Half distance: 0.5 mi swim / 10 mi mtn bike / 3 mi trail run

AGE CLASSIFICATIONS:
age 0-9; 10-12; 13-15; 16-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70+
RELAY TEAM DIVISIONS:
All Male, All Female, Mixed, Masters (all team members over 40)
Teams are a relay format, not simultaneous participation.
Exchanges may only occur between race segments.
CANOE / KAYAK:
You may bring your own boat or rent a Cobra Explorer (single seat, sit-on-top kayak) from Doin’it Outdoors. All boats must 18’ or less in length. Life vests are required. All boats must be solo powered except relay teams, which may send any number of team members in the boat. The race will begin with a short mass-start run to the boats.

AWARDS:
Plaques or trophies to overall winners, medals to top finishers in age categories.
In addition, merchandise, and/or gift certificates provided by DINO sponsors will be awarded to the overall and age group winners and presented as random door prizes. Watch the DINO website for details.
CASH PRIZES:
Contributed by Saucony: $75 - 1st Male & Female; $50 - 2nd Male & Female - awarded for FULL distance (NXPS) only.
DIRECTIONS: France Park is located on the South side of US 24, approximately 5 miles West of Logansport. Note: $3 park entry fee must be paid at the gatehouse. Turn right after leaving the gatehouse. Use caution, the race course crosses this road.
