After a few years away, DINO returns to Westwood – to introduce a completely new trail! A recently completed loop around Westwood Lake will provide 15k runners with a challenging and surprisingly scenic course. Many unique bridges and views of the lake add to the interest of the course. The 5k course will contain some of this trail without circling the lake.
It’s well worth the trip (less than 45 minutes from Indy) to experience a very well designed trail.
Directions: Take I-70 to the New Castle exit. Turn north on to State Road 3. Go 6.0 miles to State Road 38, turn left (W). On State Road 38 go 1.7 miles to Greensboro Pike. Look for brown Westwood Park signs. Turn left (S) on Greensboro Pike and go 1.1 miles to County Road 100 South. Turn right (W) on 100 South, go 1.3 miles to tee into County Road 275 West. Turn left (S) on 275 West, go 1 mile straight into the Westwood Park entrance and follow the DINO signs.
