Since you're stoopid enough to look at this website, we're gonna skip all the usual info and go straight to the questions. You're just gonna call me or e-mail me anyway -without bothering to read the info - so I'll just put my answers here.
FASQ's
(Frequently Asked Stoopid Questions)
When is it?
Saturday July 3, 2010. 8 am start. Unless I oversleep.
Did you know that is Independence Day Weekend?
No duh.
Where's it at?
Muscatatuck County Park. (If you can spell or pronounce that, you might be too smart for this event. North Vernon Indiana is a little easier.)
It is on State Highway 3 and 7 between Vernon and North Vernon. Click for Map
How far is it?
Depends on how you measure. See our handy chart - click here. It should fall somewhere between 5k and 5 miles. Or maybe not.
What makes the STooPiD Run so... Stoopid?
We done this last year. Most people survived and came back a-grinnin, so we'll do'er again. Here's what we done. we put out little ribbons on a ridiculous course through the woods. Whatever happened to be in the way, we just went up it, down it, over it, under it, through it. Y'all gotta do the same thing. If there's a trail, fine. If not, even better. Stoopid, huh?
Will I get wet?
That depends on whether or not it's raining and whether or not you choose carry a kayak, canoe, or a whole lotta trash bags while running the race.
Can I pre-run the course?
Feel free to roam around the woods all you like, but my staff members generally procrastinate and won't be marking the final course until just minutes before the race. Trying to practice on the unmarked course will probably just leave you dazed and confused.
How do I sign up?
Seriously? You really want to do it?
Print this and mail it. Or click here for online registration. Or show up around 7 am on race day with money in your hand.
What do I get for my money?
T-shirt, post-race refreshments, some trinkets, maybe some neat scars (chicks dig 'em), and all the bad memories you care to take.
What does "STooPiD" stand for?
Nobody figgered it out last year so ya got another try. Whoever guesses the right answer first, gets a free entry! E-mail your bestest guess to me at: Brian10@DINOseries.com
Any tips?
Bring yer lifejacket, helmet, protective eywear, shin guards, signal flares, etc.
