DINO SPRING TUNE-UP Start Times: 2pm (Cat 1 and 2), 4pm (all others) DINO Spring Tune-up has moved for 2012 to a new home. Town Run Trail Park provides an easier and safer course to introduce new riders to the sport. The new course is also longer, allowing the Tune-up races to be closer to standard DINO distances without concerns of lapping traffic. DINO Spring Tune-up is a warm-up for race season, or a low-pressure chance for new riders to decide if they are ready to race. It's a race with no frills (no awards or series points). The course will use a 6 mile loop as marked for the Qdoba DINO Trail Run earlier in the day – some of the south loop and the very end of the "regular trail" will not be in use. Intro riders and 10& under Juniors will complete 1 lap; Cat3, Clydesdale, & Juniors11-18 2 laps; Cat 2 3 laps, and Cat1/Pro 4 laps. There is no pre-registration for this race - it's subject to cancellation due to wet weather and will not be rescheduled. Call the DINO Hotline at (317-336-7553) prior to your trip to the race site! Entry fee is $15 at the race for Intro, Junior, Clydesdale and Cat3, and $20 for Cat2 and Cat1/Pro. If you are not a member of USA Cycling, add $5. If you purchase a season pass for the 2012 Kenda DINO Mountain Bike Series, your entry in the DINO Spring Tune-up is FREE! Pre-riding is available after NOON to 2pm on Saturday, or anytime Friday evening. The Qdoba DINO Trail Run - http://www.dinoseries.com/run - takes place from 9 to 11 am on the trail system. Intro Racing Clinic presented by the Moore / Gray Goat Sports race team Friday April 27, at 6pm - a free opportunity to learn what to expect when you enter your first race, including tips and skill practice time on the trail. Come prepared to ride, and ask questions! Directions: Town Run Trail Park is located on 96th Street between Allisonville Road and Keystone. It is situated on the west bank of White River. From I-69, use exit 3 and follow 96th Street west 2 miles, crossing Allisonville Rd and the White River Bridge. From I-465, use exit exit 35 and take Allisonville Road north 1 mile and turn left on Allisonville Rd. Parking is very limited inside the park. Plan to park along the gravel road heading south from the stop light at 96th Street and Hazel Dell Road. If you arrive prior to noon, please watch out for departing traffic from the Qdoba DINO Trail Run event. Related / Local Links:
