Getting to know your Sponsors - DCO Industries Inc.

Aug 14, 2025
3 min read

Below we have a Q & A from none other than our title sponsor for the 2nd year in a row to the DINO Trail Running Series and events, DCO Industries Inc. If you have been to any of our trail races, it's likely by now you've met Danny & Crissy Owens. They have been a major part of our events and participate in many fitness sporting events in Indiana! You may have even trained with Danny during the peak of the Ninja Warrior days! I, Joshua, cannot say enough good things about this family-from the races I have shared with Danny on my tail (No he's never beaten me!), sit down lunches, and after DINO race conversations. If you have not met these two, go say hello because they are genuinely wonderful people with plenty to bring to the table. Enjoy!

DINO- How long have you been racing with DINO ?  Are you involved in our trail runs, mountain biking, adventure races or triathlon? What was your first race with DINO? What was your most memorable race with DINO and why ?

OWENS FAMILY - Danny started in 2016 and Crissy started in 2017. We've only done the trail races but would like to look into adventure racing! Danny's first race was at Eagle Creek in 2016 and Crissy's was at Eagle Creek in 2017. Danny's most memorable race was Muscatutuck in 2017 when the race happened in the pouring rain! Crissy's was the final race of the season in 2020 when she got just enough points to earn a singlet in the 5k!

DINO - What keeps you coming back to DINO year after year?

OWENS FAMILY - The DINO community and all of the great people we have met keep us coming back every year.

DINO - Have you ever raced the series, either Mountain bike or run?  Tell us about your series experience and the way it challenged you during that particular year of racing.

OWENS FAMILY - We've race the trail run series since 2018. The series motivates you to come to as many races as possible. It's fun to see how your points add up throughout the season.

DINO - Tell us about your family's involvement with DINO. Do they also participate as athletes or are they primarily supporting you at the start/finish line?

OWENS FAMILY - I always say Danny and I run at the same place at the same time but not together. It's fun to have an activity where we can cheer each other on. Our daughter ran some races for the first time this year. Our grandson was there to see us finish at Paynetown this year which led to some epic award ceremony pictures.

DINO - You have taken your personal passion for endurance racing and chosen to expand that by becoming key financial sponsors for DINO. Tell us more about this decision. What is your driving force?  What do you hope will ultimately come from your sponsorship/partnership with DINO?

OWENS FAMILY - We want to ensure DINO can continue to offer all of its wonderful activities. We believe physical activity is important to a healthy life, and getting outdoors with DINO is a great way to do it.

DINO - If you could encourage one person today, who doubts their athleticism and ability to race, what would you say to them?

OWENS FAMILY - We encourage people to come to one race. Seeing everyone of all ages and abilities makes you realize you can do it too! The slowest person on the course is faster than the person sitting home on the couch. Come on out and get muddy!

Thank you DCO Industries Inc, "Owens Family", from team DINO, our families and on behalf of the many DINO athletes like yourself you are helping support in this beloved sport!

HAPPY TRAILS!

Danny and Crissy's story about running the same race but not together really made me smile. I looked them up on War of Genesis: Idle Loot Wiki after reading this and loved how much they give back to the DINO community.

It's really nice to see sponsors like DCO Industries getting a proper shoutout, especially when they're clearly so involved in the community and the races themselves. The personal touch in this Q&A makes it feel like you're just catching up with friends rather than reading a standard sponsor feature. If you enjoy behind-the-scenes stories about how brands and events connect, you might also like the logo review content over at logoreview.org.

It's really nice to see sponsors like DCO Industries Inc. getting a proper shoutout, especially when they're clearly such genuine and involved people in the trail running community. The personal touch in this Q&A makes it feel less like a typical sponsor post and more like a real story about Danny and Crissy. I actually came across some similar community-focused content on image chat that you might enjoy too.

Loved reading this Q&A with Danny and Crissy! The story about the muddy Muscatatuck race is awesome. For anyone capturing these trail races on video and looking to edit highlight reels with cool sponsor overlays, a great tool to export alpha channels is ExportAlpha. It makes removing video backgrounds super easy for professional edits!
